Newcastle United are rumored to be on the verge of a takeover from a consortium backed by the Saudi Government.
This might spell the end to Mike Ashley’s highly-criticised 13 year stay at St James’ Park.
For a club that has undergone two relegations in the last 12 years, a multi-billion pound takeover will come with high expectations.
This means that there will be an unending thirst for trophies and talent to arrive through the door at St. James’ Park.
But, current owner, Mike Ashley, and the rumored new owners have not been very forthcoming with updates about the status of the takeover.
The Saudi-funded ownership are, however, leaving a trail of breadcrumbs that are solidifying the rumors that engulf the North-East.

A Newcastle fan from Saudi Arabia posted a photo on Twitter. It showed a government-owned sports channel broadcasting a match between Newcastle and Celtic.
This was probably a pre-season friendly due to the difference in the leagues both teams compete in.
