With the Bundesliga returning this week, the fans have begun to believe the possibility of the Premier League season resuming as well.
It seems almost necessary for English football to resume, with multi-million-pound deals to maintain.
Recently, reports emerged that the Premier League’s “Project Restart” was given the go-ahead to move forward.
The government stated that all sports could resume from June 1st if they adhered to the necessary protocols.
British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab had earlier suggested how resuming football would boost the morale of the people.
The UK has been one of the hardest-hit countries by the pandemic.
Rose says it how it is
Tottenham Hotspur defender on loan at Newcastle United, Danny Rose, spoke out against the narrative being pushed by the government.
In a live video, Rose went on an x-rated rant, as he criticized the move. He said that the government should be concerned about people’s lives, rather than the nation’s morale.

“The governments saying bring back football to boost the morale of the nation, I don’t give a f*ck about the nations morale. Peoples lives are at risk!”
“Football shouldn’t be spoken about till numbers have dropped massively. It’s bollocks.” pic.twitter.com/bdWBbTiZFR
The Englishman also said that football’s return shouldn’t be discussed until the number of infections and deaths reduced massively.
His reaction has received a lot of support from the public, who praised him for taking a stand –
