Newcastle United are gearing up for the return of football, with the coaching staff now allowed to go for full contact training sessions.
Toons boss Steve Bruce had voiced his concerns over player fitness levels back in May.
The manager’s concerns have now become apparent as fresh images from Newcastle United’s recent friendly against Middlesbrough arrived online.
Fans have noticed the abysmal shape Danny Rose has arrived in following the 3-month break. The lockdown seems to have taken a toll on Rose, who is currently on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Newcastle faithful are left furious, questioning the player’s attitude and professionalism.
Some are even suspecting his terrible fitness to be the real reason behind his furious rant over the Premier League’s return when it was initially proposed back in May.
Absolute disgrace for a professional athlete to be in this sort of abysmal shape.

He gets paid handsomely and to turn out like he’s been retired 10 years is an insult to every single #NUFC fan. pic.twitter.com/jR47EcuRTZ
The 29-year-old extended his loan at the club on a short-term basis to complete the current season.
However, in his current shape, it isn’t very likely whether Rose would be of any help to Steve Bruce as Newcastle face rivals Sheffield United on 21st June.
