Jose Mourinho was appointed the manager of Spurs after they let go of long term boss Mauricio Pochettino in November last year.
8 months on their league position hasn’t improved much.
Since the restart, the team’s form and performances have been mixed, something that has become the theme at Spurs since the UCL final.
A draw against high-flying Manchester United was followed by a win against West Ham, only for the momentum to be halted after a crushing defeat against Sheffield United.
After the loss, Mourinho in his trademark fashion called out the players and challenged them to give a reaction in their next match against Everton.
The players responded to his brand of tough love and put in a positive performance to secure all 3 points against the Toffees.
A Mourinho team is slowly taking shape at Tottenham Hotspur
All great Mourinho teams are built on airtight defences, whether it be the 2004-2006 Chelsea or the treble winning team of Inter Milan.
All his teams show a high work rate and the desire to defend with their lives.
And this clip from the match against Everton shows that Spurs have started to play the ‘Mourinho way’.
The footage shows a host of Spurs players putting their bodies on the line to defend the lead late in the game –

While Jose may still have doubters outside the dressing room, this footage shows that he has got the players believing in his methods.
