Promotion to the top flight looked like a far-fetched dream for the fans but that changed after owner Andrea Radrizzani appointed Marcelo Bielsa as the head coach at Leeds United.
The Argentine coach has managed to turn the club’s fortunes on its head as Leeds United experienced ecstacy last night after 16 years of agony.
The Whites have gone through a lot in the past two decades. It all went wrong so fast for Leeds – from reaching the Champions League semi-finals to plunging to the English third division seven years later.
The rise and fall of the club, which once ruled the history of English football, was heartbreaking to take for every Leeds United faithful.
However, in 2017, a new owner in the shape of Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani renewed the hope amongst the club’s faithful.
Finally, the appointment of Marcelo ‘El loco’ Bielsa in 2018 proved to be the final piece in the puzzle in Leeds’ ambition to play in the top-flight.
Leeds United secured Premier League status after Huddersfield won against West Brom yesterday.
Not just the fans, the players at Leeds United remain as thankful to Bielsa as they burst into celebration when the coach arrived at Thorp Arch this morning –
