The excitement for the next season in the Premier League is already brimming among the Leeds United faithful after conquering the Championship.
Leeds would be wary of losing key members of the team going into the next season.
One such player is centre-back Ben White. The defender is currently on loan from the Premier League side Brighton and has had a strong season with Leeds United in the Championship.
The 22-year-old has featured in every league game for Marcelo Bielsa and played a crucial role in sealing the promotion to the top-flight for Leeds.
However, as his loan deal nears an end, a cloud of uncertainty has risen over the Brighton loanee’s future.
On the one hand, Leeds unquestionably want to keep the player, with the fans even appealing to the club for the same with a ‘sign him up’ chant last week outside the Elland Road.
But his parent club Brighton & Hove Albion also rate the player quite highly and manager Graham Potter is adamant that White will be a part of the team next season.
The conundrum left the two fanbases engaging in a war of words on Twitter recently, with both sides defending their odds to keep the player.
Brighton fans called the Whites faithful ‘deluded’ to be dreaming of signing Ben White from the Seagulls.
However, the Leeds fanbase now seem to have got an edge in the argument as a video of the 22-year-old passionately singing his heart out for Leeds appeared online.
An absolutely sloshed Ben White can be seen celebrating this season’s successes as he chanted the Leeds United anthem ‘Marching on Together’ in a bar –
Seriously tell me this lad Ben White doesn’t want to sign for us perm 😍 #lufc pic.twitter.com/NNCAoWPp8C
