Premier League champions Liverpool and top four chasers Chelsea were involved in an enthralling 8 goal thriller at Anfield. Liverpool edged past the Blues 5-3 and dealt a significant blow to the London club’s Champions League hopes for the next season.
World class goals were produced at both ends of the field and it is really hard to find the pick of the bunch. Naby Keita unleashed a pile-driver of a strike to open the scoring for the Reds midway through the first half and Trent Alexander-Arnold scored a curling free kick fifteen minutes later to show why he is considered a versatile full-back.
The goals kept coming and then came a moment which left Klopp completely speechless.
In the 73rd minute, Christian Pulisic was found in the Liverpool box by Callum Hudson-Odoi. The American International controlled the ball on his chest, took two touches to find the space and shot it right into the top corner, leaving Alisson with no chance of saving it.
Klopp was astounded and could only smile after witnessing this fantastic piece of play by a player who was part of the youth setup at Borussia Dortmund when Klopp was still in charge of the German club.
Dortmund signed a 16-year-old Pulisic in February, 2015. Klopp was in his final days as their boss and departed a few months later to Merseyside.
