Leeds United decided to hold the 2020 edition of the players’ awards in anonymity, potentially to avoid gathering of enormous fan crowds as happened during the open-top bus celebrations outside Elland Road.
However, frequent updates from journalists and Instagram live sessions from those present in Leeds’ Centenary Pavilion ensured that the Whites faithful were updated about the event.
On a night that was staged to honour the players for their hard work and passion throughout the season, Victor Orta stole the hearts of the Whites faithful with a rousing speech.
Victor Orta addressed the players and the staff and congratulated them for their successes. The message that followed earned him the respect he deserves from the fans.
Leeds’ Director of Football urged this ‘special’ team not to lose sight of the goal ahead, and maintain the team’s core with utmost humility.
