Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is a talented youngster who could be a big player for the club in future. The English professional footballer turns 20 in November and has already shown that he possesses the requisite mentality to realise his potential.
Frank Lampard gave his players a day off after their exhausting 5-3 defeat at the hands of already crowned champions Liverpool. While others were relaxing, Hudson-Odoi trained once again. He uploaded a photo of his leg with the caption ‘no days off’ as an Instagram story.
It has to be said that the winger’s past record of injuries has hampered his progress. His first professional injury was an achilles tendon rupture at the end of last season and he was out for 5 months.
This season too has been plagued by injuries for him. Hamstring and ankle injuries had forced him to miss 9 games this year. Not to mention he was also positive for coronavirus.
The lad would be really keen to put these injuries behind him and force his way into Lampard’s starting eleven, especially after the breakthrough campaigns of Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount.
Training on a holiday is a step in the right direction for him and demonstrates his elite mentality –
All the Chelsea players were given the day off, yet Hudson-Odoi trained once again.
