An emphatic 5-3 win over Chelsea marked the occasion as Liverpool lifted their first league trophy in 30 years at Anfield. The Premier League trophy finally fell into the arms of captain Jordan Henderson after clinching the title with seven games to spare.
Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish, who managed the side when they last won the league title in 1989/90, had the pleasure to hand over the trophy to one of his own signings at the club, Henderson, whom he signed during his second spell with Liverpool in 2011.
Despite there being no fans in the stadium, the celebrations ran wild across the firework-lit stadium as the players ran rampantly to soak each other in champagne inside Anfield.
One such clip of Liverpool’s fitness-coach Andreas Kornmayer dodging Andy Robertson’s champagne shower has gone viral among the Reds faithful.
Now, the left-back is by no means slow; however, Kornmayer appeared to sprint his way out of danger as the 26-year-old finally gave up.
This lively incident instilled a series of hilarious comments from the fans on Twitter, lauding Kornmayer for his athleticism. While some even went on to suggest a place for the fitness-coach in the playing squad.
