Tottenham Hotspur’s third kit for the next campaign has leaked online and it’s safe to say that the shirt is a shocker.
Nike has apparently decided to go retro for Spurs’ third kit, bringing back the yellow colour predominantly seen in the away strips between 1969 and 1982 and most recently worn in the 14/15 season.
However, the experiment doesn’t seem to have paid off for Nike, as fans cannot help but flinch at the sight of the jersey’s design.
Spurs’ third kit for the 20/21 season features a stark yellow and navy blue contrast with crest and sponsorship logos placed centrally. The yellow colour on the jersey keeps fading to orange as it goes down from the neck towards the waist.
The jersey consists of subtle gradients of ‘tour yellow’ at the top to ‘university gold’ at the bottom. Other than the traits mentioned above, the overall look of the outfit has been kept clean.
The reception of the kit from the fans, however, was appalling, to say the least. The outfit has been doing the rounds among Spurs fans on Twitter, and the reactions have been rather amusing.
