Roberto Firmino has played a massive role in Liverpool‘s successes under Jurgen Klopp. The Brazilian didn’t take a lot of time to adjust to the Premier League football since his move from Hoffenheim in 2015, scoring 11 goals and registering 11 assists in his debut season with the Reds.
However, off the pitch, the 28-year-old had to face problems adapting to life in England. Even after spending a few years in Merseyside, Firmino rarely featured in an interview mostly due to his lack of proficiency in the English language.
Many fans wondered how the Brazilian forward managed to communicate with his teammates and coaching staff at Liverpool. But, having spent time in Germany, Firmino had no problems taking in Jurgen Klopp’s tactical requests.
Adding to that, his teammate Mohamed Salah even revealed that ‘Bobby’ Firmino didn’t require much verbal communication and let his actions on the pitch do all the talking.
However, with Liverpool’s first Premier League trophy in 30 years now secured, Roberto Firmino has decided to take a step in the right direction as he gave his first full interview speaking in fluent English.
Although there have been small segments with LFC TV where the Brazilian talked in English, this is the first time where he gave consistent and prolonged answers as he’s asked about the Premier League, his celebrations and a lot more.
