Even mainstream media cannot ignore ‘Frank Lampard’s pull power’ in the transfer market anymore
French defender Malang Sarr becomes the latest addition to the Chelsea squad in this transfer window. His signing comes merely a day after the announcement of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City.
Despite already splashing over a £100m on four signings, the Blues are showing no signs of stopping as the rumours linking the likes of Kai Havertz and Thiago Silva reach an all-time high.
The current Chelsea spending spree comes at a time when most of their rival clubs still remain rather cautious in the transfer market due to the ongoing pandemic.
Some would argue that the main reason behind this is the inactivity in the previous two-windows, which helped Chelsea gain enough funds to spend this time around.
However, the Blues faithful firmly believe in a phenomenon they have termed as ‘the Lampard pull.’

Liverpool were said to be heavily interested in the player; however, it was the stimulating talks between the German and Frank Lampard that convinced him to choose Chelsea in the end.
Now, renowned Sky Pundit, Kaveh Solhekol, has raised his voice in support of the claims made by the Blues faithful.
In ‘The Transfer Show’ on the Sky Sports channel, Kaveh emphasised on the role of Lampard’s “golden touch” in convincing the targets to join his project –
