The James Rodriguez era at Goodison Park has well and truly kicked off in grand fashion, as the Colombian scored once and assisted once, helping Everton to a 5-2 victory over newly promoted West Bromwich Albion.
While James still adjusts to a more physical brand of the game, a new climate and a different lifestyle in Merseyside, a fan was spotted making things slightly more comfortable for the marquee signing of the summer for the Toffees.
James’ excellent display in his first start for his new club at home impressed the Everton faithful as one fan decided to gift the midfielder with a bottle of fruit cider to celebrate the occasion.
The moment took place while the former Monaco and Real Madrid star was in his car returning home after the game.
James happily accepted the gift with a smile.

The warm gesture of welcome by the certain Everton fan might as well go a long way to help the 2014 World Cup’s Golden Boot winner to get used to what he signed up for, as the fixtures will soon begin to line up thick and fast.
