Sweden attacker Paulos Abraham is one of the many young and aspiring talents coming out of the Scandinavian countries. The 18-year old plays as a forward for AIK in the Allsvenskan, the top flight of Swedish football.
He has represented Sweden on three age groups namely U17, U19 and U21: and his goal with the U21 team last night has earned him comparison with a famous goal scored by Croatian legend Davor Suker.
Already four goals up on the night against Armenia, Sweden progressed the ball into the final third from a counter attack with Armenian defenders rushing back to fall in line.
Abraham found the back of the net with an effort which exemplifies lazy grace to the optimum: he simply chipped the ball with his right foot over the helpless Armenian goalkeeper, who was rooted to the spot.

Suker’s goal which has been brought into comparative discussion is an uncannily similar effort: the clips of the strikes look so much alike that there is hardly any difference between the two goals if played next to each other.
Abraham’s stunning goal from last night is an incredibly accurate impersonation of Suker’s iconic strike against Denmark in the 1996 European Championship.
After being put through on goal in a Croatian counter attack, Suker left a bamboozled Peter Schmeichel in goal for dead; as he chipped the ball over the Danish goalkeeper to score one of the best goals to ever have been scored in a Croatian shirt.

The goals are exceptionally identical in nature but for one difference: while Suker scored with his left foot, Abraham put the ball in the back of net with his right.
It would not be an understatement to say that Abraham might develop to be one of the best exports that the Allsvenskan have ever had, if he continues to channel his inner Davor Suker on a more consistent basis.
