Mark Noble marked rare appearance for West Ham with needless aggression aimed at Donny van de Beek
Mark Noble played the full 120 minutes as Manchester United advanced to the FA Cup quarterfinals for the seventh consecutive season.
A solitary goal from Scott McTominay in the 97th minute was all the Red Devils needed as West Ham recorded their first shot on target in the 114th minute of the game.
In what was his 516th appearance for West Ham United, there’s a good chance Mark Noble might have gone too far to maintain the hard guy imagery that gets associated with him more often than not during the FA Cup clash last night.
The 33-year-old showed no sympathy for Donny van de Beek (or perhaps the rules of football) as he needlessly clattered into him whilst the Dutchman was taking a throw-in.
One needs to keep in mind that, at this point, Noble had already been violated at the hands (or legs) of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood as the United duo mercilessly outwitted the veteran with two brilliant pieces of skill at Old Trafford.
Though, being embarrassed like that is no justification for what Noble did to the former Ajax midfielder.
Twitter showed little appreciation for the West Ham legend after the tackle, check out some of the choicest reactions below –
Mark Noble clattering Van De Beek as he goes to take a throw in is the most Mark Noble thing ever.

Apparently Mark Noble shoved Van de Beek after someone told him the Netherlands was in the EU.

“England for the English!” screams Mark Noble as he smashes into Van De Beek off the ball. #FACup

Can someone explain to me why Mark Noble barging Donny Van de Beek off the ball to prevent a throw in being taken is tolerated, simply because it’s a tactical foul? If that happens at any other point in the game it’s a yellow card ~ T
