Rangers are about to clinch their long-elusive Scottish Premiership title, and they inched even closer to the league title with an away win over Livingston yesterday.
A late winner from centre forward Alfredo Morelos secured all 3 points at the Almondvale Stadium last night, as the Glasgow outfit went eighteen points clear of their city rivals Celtic who are currently in second place.
Not only did the fixture end in a narrow away win, but there was a brilliant moment right at the end of the game when the Rangers players headed to the corner to celebrate with the fans – who are certain to have had an incredible night with their team closing in on the league title.
It was a massive win for Steven Gerrard’s men right at the end of the game, as their numerous attempts to break the deadlock finally paid off when Steven Davis’ shot from inside the box was saved by the Livingston goalkeeper Maksymilian Stryjek – but Alfredo Morelos tapped the ball into the net from the rebound.
Rangers held on until the end to secure their 27th league win of the season – and the full-time whistle was met with an incredible reaction from the players.
The Rangers players who knew that there was a group of jubilant fans outside the stadium, all went on a coordinated voyage to the corner flag to greet their fans and join in the celebrations.

It was a brilliant moment for the ‘Gers fans who made the journey to Livingston and were involved in the team’s celebrations.
Even though the occasion was soured by head coach Steven Gerrard being sent off at half-time for an exaggerated reaction to Morelos’ denied penalty shout, it does not take anything away from the win – as the Rangers fans were ecstatic to celebrate all three points right at the very end.
With their victory last night, Rangers need just four more points to mathematically seal the title coming to the Ibrox Stadium after a nine-year-long wait.
