Arsenal’s new home kit for the 2021/2022 season has recently leaked online, but the North London club’s faithful do not seem to like it as much as they would originally like to.
The kit features the torso clad in a shade of red different from their regular colours, and while the sleeves are featured in white – the v-neck collar and the trademark three stripes of the kit manufacturers Adidas are bordered by elements of blue.
The home kit for next season seems to be a throwback to the kit that the club had in the 2013/14 season, but the initial reaction from the Gunners’ fans on social media has divided opinion – while some think the kit is a decent one, some think that the kit looks a lot better when photoshopped on Arsenal academy talent Emile Smith Rowe.
After the pictures of next season’s home kit were leaked on social media, a designer on Twitter made some changes to the kit and uploaded an edited version of the kit. The changes made to the edited picture constitute the addition of some extra red into the main colours of the kit, making it a much more familiar colour scheme for the club than the one that was leaked online.
The altered version of the picture doing the rounds was deemed to be looking a lot better than the one that was originally leaked on Twitter, as it got a majority of the Arsenal faithful online to be on board with the amateur designer’s idea rather than the Adidas’ creative team’s thoughts for the kit.
The kit being photoshopped on Emile Smith Rowe makes it all the better, as there is no better ambassador for what it takes to bleed Arsenal red – than the 20-year-old precocious English talent who has been at the academy of the North London club since the tender age of 10.
