We now have our hands on what should be the first real-life photo of the Chelsea home kit from Nike next season. All the signs hint at the new shirt being spotted at a store in America as graphic designer @uwevanderwolf first leaked the image to football apparel website Todo Sobre Camisetas.
Blues fans weren’t the happiest but eventually made their peace with the sportswear giants opting to put a consistent zigzag pattern on their home shirt for the 2021/22 season as the first leaks arrived a couple of weeks ago.
That aforementioned achievement of peace is now long gone as the new leak shows the shirt being clad in two patterns – one zigzag and one checkered and they are far from being consistent.
Nike seems hellbent on making their kits stand out the next term and have completely lost all regards for the geometrical laws of design as seen in their Barcelona home kit too.
Needless to say, the reception from Chelsea fans has not been on the positive side as one user pointed out – “the actual colour scheme is lovely. Just horrible unnecessary patterns”.
