Adidas have done it again – this time with the German national team’s away kit. The likes of Kai Havertz and co. were spotted wearing the newly-unveiled Germany away kit in the World Cup qualifier against Iceland recently – a kit that has garnered plaudits from a majority of football fans online.
The kit in discussion is an all-black rendition, where the kit manufacturers’ logo, as well as the crest, is blacked out. The trademark three stripes on the sleeves are also emblazoned in black, while the sleeves host the tricolour of the German national flag – black, red and yellow.
The German national team donned the aforementioned away kit on Thursday night, in a 3-0 win over Iceland courtesy of goals from Leon Goretzka, Kai Havertz and Ilkay Gundogan.
Being a Germany-based company, Adidas seems to have gone all out by perhaps producing one of the coldest-looking shirts in recent times.
German players will look like they are dressed for their opposition’s funeral in the blackout kit when the European Championship commences in June.
