Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is a Bhoy through and through and has probably been left hurt by their disastrous season as much as any Celtic fan.
In a season it was all supposed to be about the glory of achieving the juggernaut ’10 successive league titles in a row’ milestone, Celtic exploded on and off the pitch as a Steven Gerrard-led Rangers side steamrolled their way through the league to win their 55th title.
The 23-year-old himself has had a torrid time with injuries since joining the Gunners back in 2019. Though, he looked to have been back to his best recently as he completed 9 games in a row for the London side.
But as rotten luck would have it, Tierney suffered a knee injury in the first half of the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool last night, prompting Martin Tyler with the following piece of commentary as the Scot made his way back to the sidelines – “Kieran Tierney has managed his best run at Arsenal with 9 games in a row but unfortunately isn’t going to make it 10 in a row by the looks of it”.
The irony of the comment was not lost on anyone, especially the Rangers fans, who took to Twitter following the incident on Sky Sports –
