Everton fans seemed to be in a jubilant mood on Twitter after getting their hands on a photo of Liverpool’s star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold sporting Everton merchandise even as the photo seems to be from a while back.
The 20-year-old was subject to a tug of war between the two Merseyside rivals while he was just 6-years-old and former academy coach Karl Robinson had once revealed how the Reds did everything possible to snatch him from under their rival’s noses.
Since then the England international has had a meteoric rise and is now considered as one of the crucial cogs in this vibrant Liverpool side.
Trent has been pretty vocal about his allegiance to Liverpool since making his debut and was in jubilant mood after being given his first start against the Toffees during Liverpool’s 1-0 win at the start of December.
But after getting their hands on such a photo, Blues fans were obviously not going to let the opportunity to get under the skins of their rivals go to waste and were quick to post the photo of a very young Trent Alexander-Arnold in blue on the micro-blogging site.
