Marek Hamsik unleashed a serious side-footed volley into the top left corner as he scored his first goal for IFK Goteborg during their 2-2 draw against IK Sirius Fotball in the Allsvenskan.
A goal so stunning, even the person handling the live scoreboard on the screen was taken aback as it awarded the strike to the away side when the moment took place at the Gamla Ullevi stadium. The error was soon rectified as the scoreline read 2-1 in Goteborg’s favour.
The Napoli legend surprised all and sundry when he decided to move to Sweden after terminating his contract with Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Professional back in March.
Sweden’s transfer market was the only one open at that time and the mohawk-donning Slovakian midfielder chose Goteborg in a bid to be ready for the upcoming Euros.
