Mats Hummels gave a glimpse of his ball-playing skills with a sublime outside of boot long ball assist for Serge Gnabry as Germany warmed up for their opening Euro 2020 fixture against France next week by demolishing Latvia 7-1.
The Borussia Dortmund defender, along with Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, was ostracized from the national team setup for a long time by manager Joachim Loew.
But the duo were reinstated back in the squad as Germany finds itself in the group of death along with France and Portugal in Group F.
Hummels proved his manager’s decision right as he showed his mettle with an impressive outing at the back.
The 32-year-old was solid in defence, aggressive coming forward and marked his display with a long-range trivela assist before Germany’s fifth goal at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf. Check it out below –
