While Chelsea might have won the Champions League over two months ago, the euphoria of a night that the players will remember for a long, long time continues among players, especially a certain Reece James.
The right-back recently came back to Cobham with the rest of the English contingent after a short vacation following England’s European Championship final loss to Italy.
But on his returns, fans spotted fresh ink on the Chelsea fullback in pictures of the training posted online by the club’s social accounts.
James ended up getting inked with a tattoo of memorabilia of the final at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto – a match in which the 22-year-old excelled at right wing-back.
James, who has been at Chelsea since the age of six held his own against some of the best players in the world, and lifted the holy grail of European football with his boyhood club by the end of the night – and hence to celebrate the priceless occasion, James chose to adorn his right calf with a massive piece of ink.
James’ new tattoo features the famous big-eared trophy and the words “Dream. Believe. Achieve.” to represent his fairytale journey to lift major silverware with the team he supported growing up.
James also got the date of the final inked right underneath the trophy, to complete a piece of ink that has amazed football fans on social media platforms since it surfaced.
