A Newcastle United fan is being cheered online after withstanding a wayward shot that hit him flush in the face during the warm-up ahead of their Premier League fixture against Norwich City at St. James’ Park.
In the build-up to the game, as the cameras focused on Les Ferdinand during the pre-match show on the sidelines, observers took notice of the incident that took place in the background.
In the video that has been circulating online today, a Newcastle fan can be seen making his way to the stands. Due to overcrowding, he seems to be having a hard time adjusting. At one point, the fan steps aside, making way for others to move in when a ferociously kicked ball lands and smacks him on his face.
The fan wasn’t paying attention to the action on the field as the ball came crashing on his face.
However, the wayward shot seemed to have no bearing on him, as he can be seen drawing back for a moment before gaining back his composure, standing erect.
