Newcastle United took a collective sigh of relief after their 1-0 victory against Burnley. New gaffer Eddie Howe has brought passion back to Newcastle and has delivered them their first win of the season.
Among the notable beneficiaries of the managerial shakeup, is Brazilian striker Joelinton.
The 25-year-old looks like a player reborn under Howe, taking up the challenge of adapting to a deeper role with great fervour, a contrast to his tenure at The Magpies so far, which has been less than ideal given his exorbitant price tag.
The Toon Army has rarely seen the sight of victory so far this season, reasonably ecstatic, they were in full voice at St James’ Park.
Geordies had taken notice of Joenlinton’s performances in recent weeks and as a result, they unveiled a new chant for their number 7.
Sung to the tune of She’s Electric by Oasis, the lyrics feature a reference to the Brazilian’s premium price tag, which Geordies now consider a bargain.
He’s Brazilian,

He only cost 40 million,
And we think he’s f***king brilliant,

Perhaps invigorated by the brilliant support, the Brazilian gave an excellent glimpse of his flair, beating four players in a tight space as part of an impressive dribble.
This drew praise from ex-Aston Villa striker Ron Saunders who amusingly compared Joelinton to a fellow Brazilian, “This sounds ridiculous but, Pele came into my head.”
Newcastle currently sits in 19th position on the Premier League table, level on points with fellow relegation contenders Burnley and Norwich.
