Trent Alexander-Arnold scored an absolute screamer against visiting Newcastle United last night at Anfield, and what followed was a copied celebration in honour of basketball star Steph Curry.
The Golden State Warriors player recently broke the NBAs three-point record, which had prompted a congratulatory post on Instagram from the Scouse right-back.
The England international posted a picture of the two sports stars together and captioned it: “Congrats Bro, Keep Inspiring!”
Trent, who is an avid basketball fan, however, clearly felt his dedication wasn’t apropos enough for such a momentous feat and proceeded to celebrate his stunning goal in a manner similar to Steph Curry’s.

In a signature move, Trent smashed the ball into the top corner from distance past a helpless Martin Dubravka.
After celebrating with teammates in front of the Kop, the 23-year old right-back turned to a camera and recreated the celebration synonyms with Steph Curry, which entails sticking out the first three fingers one by one.

The Liverpool defender is a huge admirer of Steph Curry, and can often be seen at NBA games during the offseason.
Considering that the Merseyside club already has an association with basketball superstar LeBron James through ownership, it’s not improbable to suggest something along similar lines involving Curry.
Alexander-Arnold’s goal against Newcastle United was Liverpool’s third on the night. Having taken an early lead through ex-Liverpool player Jonjo Shelvey, the Magpies conceded two quick goals via Diogo Jota and Mo Salah, before Trent’s rocket sealed the deal on a victory.
Having won 6 games on the trot, Liverpool remains on the second-spot behind Manchester City, trailing by a mere point.
