The holiday season is nearly here, and keeping in line with tradition, many football clubs across Europe have begun sending out well wishes for their supporters.
These usually come in the form of Christmas cards and videos featuring a number of stars from a club’s first team, surrounded by ornaments, Christmas trees and an overall jovial spirit.
Joining in the tradition this season were the Belgium National team, a truly welcome addition.
The Red Devils posted numerous pictures on their social media account joining in the spirit of merriment.
Seated in front of a typical Christmas background adorned with a Christmas tree and the season’s greetings, were numerous stars from the Belgian side.
Kevin De Bruyne offers up an expression of almost childlike wonderment albeit whilst wearing a Christmas jumper displaying what is seemingly a male’s bare chest.
Another image features Axel Witsel sitting on Dedryck Boyata’s lap in an adorable fashion, he even puts his arms on his shoulders indicating the chilly winter season, while Boyata offers him a warm, loving look.
Delivering their greetings in Spanish are Yannick Carrasco and Thomas Meunier, sitting side by side they can be sporting festive and rather hip sweaters.
The pick of the lot was certainly this picture featuring Real Madrid star Eden Hazard alongside his brother Thorgan Hazard.
Thorgan being the younger of the two, can be seen seated on Eden’s lap, all ready to tell his older brother about what he’d like for Christmas.
These pictures perfectly encapsulate the family aspect of the holidays, reminding us all that we should spend the magical period with our loved ones.
It’s lovely to see clubs and national teams alike make the effort to connect with their supporters.
It makes one’s connection with their favourite side feel even more personal.
And with more clubs set to join in on the jubilance in the next few days, fans are certainly going to receive even more adorable wishes from their favourite players.
