Real Madrid further strengthened their lead atop the La Liga table last night with a 4-1 victory over Valencia.
Among the standouts for Los Blancos was Brazilian superstar Vinicius Jr.
The 21-year-old continues to enjoy an outstanding second season in Madrid, he further added to his goal tally last night by netting a brace.
Aside from the excellent link-up play with Karim Benzema, which led to the Brazilian’s first goal, a moment showcasing Vini’s respect for his club has caught the eyes of fans online.
Vinicius has often been Real’s talisman this season, conjuring the magic out of nothing and scoring crucial goals.
His performances have earned him a lot of adoration amongst Madridistas, the clip in question will only result in an increase of that admiration.
In the clip, the Brazilian can be seen chasing a loose ball, his efforts going in vain as the ball eventually runs out of play.
As Vinicius steadies his stride, he notices a banner displaying the Real Madrid crest spread out on the turf in front of him.
The 21-year-old in an attempt to avoid contact with the crest, executes a tidy jump over the banner, cleanly passing it.
The little touch of class is certainly laudable, especially considering that he wouldn’t have received any blame if his momentum had made him lay a stud on the crest.
Nonetheless, the Brazilian made sure he paid the respect the club’s crest deserves.
While minor in nature, the gesture is one every football fan can appreciate.
Vinicius jumped because he didn’t want to step on the Real Madrid logo.
