Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur faced off against each other for the 3rd time in January, this time in the Premier League.
And for the London derby, the Blues via their social media accounts released a poster pre-match, taking inspiration from the reality TV show, The Apprentice.
Special pre-match posters, especially before heavyweight clashes have become customary for the Blues online.
The latest iteration was another impressive one, and it’s fair to say, they nailed the concept.
The poster features a recreation of the show’s title card, with Thomas Tuchel in front and numerous Chelsea stars in the backdrop.
Suited and booted, grinning ear to ear, the Blues players in the poster include the likes of Jorginho, Mason Mount, Romelu Lukaku, N’Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger etc.
Thomas Tuchel’s placement in the front matches that of Lord Sugar in the actual poster.
Also known as Alan Sugar, the British Business magnate is the ever-present star of the show and plays the role of judge.
Sugar also happens to be a former chairman and part-owner Of Tottenham Hotspur and was at the helm from 1991 to 2001.
The businessman sold his stake in the club back in 2007 but still remains an avid Spurs fan.
Unfortunately for him, Antonio Conte’s men were trumped for the third time in a row by the Blues, via a 2-0 victory at the Bridge.
Sugar himself took to Twitter to lament upon his side’s performance.
