The Old Firm came together once again, for another feisty affair, and the stakes were massive.
Heading into the game, Celtic and Rangers were battling atop the table for the number one spot, and the derby offered the perfect opportunity for either side to pull ahead.
The Old Firm Derby is known for being heated and similarly the tension last night was palpable.
A packed-out Celtic Park was treated to a rampant performance by their side and a bit of uncharacteristic silliness.
The latter didn’t come via any happenings in the play itself but were instead caused by a pair of irksome ball boys, at least from a Rangers perspective.
In particular, the two lads stationed behind Allan McGregor’s goal delivered an absolute classic in trolling.
The first instance of which occurred during Celtic’s opener on the night.
Reo Hatate’s strike found its way to the back of the net, sending Parkhead into the rapture and prompting the ball boys to really rub salt in the wounds of the goalie.
They instantly ran near to the centre of the net and proceeded to goad McGregor to the best of their abilities.

Other than this, the pair came into action once again, interrupting play in a direct manner in this case.
The ball went out to play and naturally, the Rangers goalie jogged on over to collect it.
However, the ball boys had other plans as one of them cheekily passed the ball to his mate as soon as Mcgregor came to retrieve it.
These weren’t the only instances of nuisance incurred by ball boys, they were in fact so frequent that Rangers manager Gio Von Bronckhorst actually complained about them to the referee.
Nonetheless, no amount of sincere ball recollection could’ve saved Rangers’ blushes on the night, who now find themselves trailing by a point to their city rivals.
