It is clear that Liverpool are currently in the process of recruiting a backup attacking line that would take over from the successful trio of Salah, Mane and Firmino in the future.
Diogo Jota was brought in during the summer of 2020 and has successfully secured a starting place in place of Firmino.
Luis Diaz was brought in this summer while the club were minutes away from even closing the deal for Fulham prospect Fabio Carvalho on deadline day.
But it seems the club has received news of another interested candidate who wants to try forming a trio with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
Cricket legend Sir Viv Richards took to Twitter to express his desire to play for the Merseyside club and has fans thanking him for the wholesome post.
Hey there @LFC, wondering if you guys have a spot for another deadly striker alongside @MoSalah and Mane 👀 pic.twitter.com/ozPD0Bv8rK

It is not uncommon for an athlete of a different sport to want to switch over and try a hand at football. The obvious example would be sprint king Usain Bolt who in the summer of 2018 signed with A-League club Central Coast Mariners for a brief spell and played as a striker.
Of course, Viv Richard’s post was meant in a light-hearted sense and one intended more to perhaps publicly acknowledge his fondness for the English side.
The veteran batsman has always stayed connected with football having had trials with English clubs and even been a part of Antigua’s squad for the 1974 World Cup qualifiers.
Richards has also dished out football opinions in the past, commenting on rival clubs and managers alike. Usurpingly, he is also a big fan of Jurgen Klopp and is delighted with the German’s work at the club.
The 69-year-old master batsman is currently a coach at Pakistan Super League side Quetta Gladiators. He let the world know of his desire along with a picture of the veteran dribbling a football forward during one of the Gladiator’s pre-match training sessions.
So, if Liverpool are looking to freshen up their attack with some West Indian flair, they don’t have to look elsewhere.
