In a similar fashion to Manchester United a few days earlier, Barcelona fans have now received a proper look at their home kit for next season.
Credible leaks showcasing the design and look of Nike‘s latest offering had been swirling around the internet for months.
However, due to the uncertainty around shirt sponsors, the base of the shirt was left with a placeholder.
The latest image, captured during an official photoshoot, offers a definitive look at the kit, with the sponsor in place.
Courtesy of journalist Gerard Romero, the image also gives Culers a glimpse at what the upcoming reveal might have in store for them.
Stars from both the Barca Men’s team (such as Gerard Pique, Ansu Fati, Gavi, Ronald Araujo) and Barca Femini (such as Alexia Putellas) can be seen in the image.
The male contingent sports the new look, while the female stars are wearing their current kit.
In the middle sits club legend Carles Puyol, who looks all set to be a part of the upcoming promotional campaign.
As for the kit itself, it introduces dark blue stripes to the classic Blaugrana affair. Termed as ‘obsidian’ blue, the inclusion really helps freshen up the iconic look.
The sleeves and collar both feature navy blue shades.
Ending all the anticipation, the sponsor logo is finally present at the centre. The Spotify and Nike logos are enveloped in gold, rounding off the look that Barcelona will wear to the Spotify Camp Nou next season.
Initial reactions to the modern look were largely positive, with most fans appreciating Nike’s latest iteration. The Barcelona kits for next season are reportedly going to launch in May, so keep your eyes peeled for pre-order announcements.
