Rangers have officially released their highly awaited third kit for the 2022/23 season. Designed by British sportswear brand Castore, the kit lands just in time for their upcoming Europa League final against Sevilla.
The kit utilizes a bright orange shade as its primary colour, something unseen in Rangers’ kits since the 2018/19 season.
As for the design, the kit showcases a striking look, with the eye-catching orange featuring predominantly.
Navy Blue stripes are present on either side of the shoulder, and subtle white accents on the V-neck collar and sleeve round off the look. The sponsor logos go all white, a noteworthy inclusion is a return to the classic Rangers Scroll crest.
The orange simply sparks up the kit and is certainly a decent diversion from a majority of the kits we see today.
Many fans online were satisfied with the kit, although there was a common complaint. Numerous Gers took issue with the inclusion of the ‘SportemonGo’ logo at the back. The defunct company ceased trading last week, hence going bust.
Naturally, fans didn’t welcome its presence, considering that the sponsor will be replaced shortly. However, Rangers have offered fans a complementary option to update the branding whenever the new sponsors are eventually announced.
Aside from the minor gripe, fans were largely positive about the kit.
It’s almost the same as the diadora effort in 2002/03 when we won the treble

It’ll do for me 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice, clean, simple, classy! AND available in long sleeve (even online!) straight away! 🧡

However, many felt that Castore missed an opportunity to create something truly iconic. With the vivid colour scheme present on the kit, a bit more ingenuity and creativity could’ve led to a really memorable product.
For many, the offbeat orange was a welcome addition. Although, they had hoped for a more impressive approach.
Some will like it just because it’s orange, in reality it’s pretty rank.

A tad disappointing in all honesty. Missed a real trick not recreating a truly iconic kit which would have been a best seller for sure. pic.twitter.com/W0iT5tcu3s

You got my hopes up. Ffs, When will you let the fans design the third kit? Guaranteed they are better than anything Castore produce.

Whatever the reaction, its launch makes it the perfect kit to don during their upcoming conquest at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
