Adidas and Bayern Munich rarely miss the mark, and aside from the occasional blunder such as last season’s divisive home kit, the duo simply have a knack for creating some of the best kits you’ll see all season.
This year’s thoroughly traditional home kit managed to impress supporters, while the absolutely gorgeous white and gold away version is tempting enough for non-Bundesliga fans to consider purchasing.
Fans can now expect a similarly eye-catching third kit from the Bavarians, as leaks of the shirt have emerged online.
As seen in these images, Adidas and Bayern have tried their hand at the fan-favourite stealth/blackout design, and the result is, for the lack of a better word, cold.
The stealth look primarily features a shade termed ‘Night Gray’, which looks to be a blend of grey and black tones. The graphic in use takes inspiration from the diamond pattern depicted in the club crest, and it can be spotted on the lower left parts of the shirt, with a subtle fade towards the top half.
Sponsor logos and the crest are enveloped in the Night Gray shade, hammering home the Blackout concept. Shirt numbers on the back of the shirt will utilize a luminescent silver, providing the perfect contrast as compared to the front.
The kit is nothing less than eye-candy, and it’s quite likely that it’ll make it onto the wishlist of plenty of fans. So far, Adidas’ brand new design is a major hit.
