Look: Erling Haaland Shows Off Insane Viking Hairstyle For Halloween

The occasion of Halloween brought out the more colourful sides of footballers, as many players sported some very elaborate costumes.

Among the highlights were Patrice Evra’s ‘Patman’ ensemble and Casemiro’s reference to the Horror classic ‘Scary Movie’.

Those weren’t the only ones of course, but in the end, it was Erling Haaland‘s get-up that attracted the most attention.

The Manchester City striker, whose goals have ensured that defenders have an extra spooky Halloween, currently finds himself out of action due to injury.

But the time off has clearly allowed him to get into the Halloween spirit, as he debuted a brand new hairstyle alongside his costume this year.

Fans first received a glimpse of Haaland’s new look through a Halloween-themed upload by Manchester City, featuring the Norwegian and fellow teammate Kalvin Phillips.

In it, the England International attempts to scare Haaland, who, as usual, remains unfazed.

The video ended up providing the first look at Haaland’s Viking-inspired trim, featuring two intricately woven braids instead of his usual ponytail.

When the time for trick or treating arrived, the 22-year-old alerted the look slightly, opting for a long braid with flowing hair on either side.

The hairstyle gelled perfectly with his costume, as Haaland stuck to his Scandinavian roots and sported Viking-like fatigues.

The outfit even included historically accurate gear such as leather sleeve cuffs and horn-shaped mugs.

Committed to the look, the striker also applied face paint and etched temporary tattoos on his neck.

Haaland is no stranger to Viking comparisons, all owing to his massive frame and Norwegian heritage. And for Halloween, the striker evidently wanted to lean into them.

His new look was a big hit amongst fans, with many wanting it to be his primary hairstyle.

Whether the striker keeps it or not remains in the air, and we’ll have to wait until the completion of his injury layoff to find out.
