Apart from being ballers on the pitch, the upcoming generation of football superstars have shown time and time again that they’re no slouches in the fashion department either.
The biggest young talents in the game at present, seem to carry their own distinct style of play, but that’s not all. Stars such as Rafael Leao, Vinicius Jr, Jadon Sancho and many others, all have their unique sense of fashion as well, which they’ve never been shy of showing off.
The list of young Footballing Fashionistas also includes French Golden Boy Kylian Mbappe.
Fresh off his heroic exploits in the FIFA World Cup, the 24-year-old is easily the hottest commodity in the game right now. And like his peers, the PSG superstar is also fashion-savvy.
The Frenchman primarily sports streetwear-inspired looks infused with athletic-wear from Nike, and he also has a certain fondness for limited-edition sneakers.
Firmly a part of the sneakerhead community, Mbappe’s love for shoes started all the way back during his childhood, as he was a proud owner of a pair of Nike Air Maxes.
His shoe game has only grown stronger ever since, and the forward can often be seen wearing special-edition sneakers.
In recent weeks, he has shown an affinity for a particular pair of limited-edition Air Force 1s, the in-demand ‘G-Dragon Peaceminusone Para-Noise’.
Created by South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter and fashion designer G-Dragon, also known as the ‘King of K-pop’, the special line of sneakers brings his creativity to the forefront.
The limited-edition sneakers were launched in 3 colourways, with one reserved for sale in South Korea.
The other two include a worldwide version which features a white swoosh, black paint streaks around the base and a white daisy present as the shoe tongue.
The sneakers offer a freestyle, graffiti-inspired interpretation of a classic design, and evidently, they’ve caught Mbappe’s eyes.
The Frenchman was seen wearing the shoes in training before PSG’s French Cup tie against Cays de Passel.
Incidentally, The forward has been pictured wearing the shoes on numerous occasions, be it a UCL matchday or an event appearance.
Mbappe has also paired the shoes with both casual and semi-casual outfits, suits, tracksuits, and streetwear, the Para-noise AF1s have become his go-to.
The Frenchman likely has multiple pairs of the shoe, so good luck finding these limited-edition drops on the market anytime soon.
But in case you’re interested, online drops for the sneakers are rare, and they typically sell out very quickly.
Your best bet is the resale market, these usually retail for upwards of $400.
