American country singer Zach Bryan was surprisingly arrested by the police in Oklahoma on Thursday, and his mugshot being made public has sent his fans into an absolute frenzy on social media.
The country music star is definitely one of the most unique personalities in the US music scene and has a fascinating backstory as well. Before venturing into a musical career, Bryan was actually a part of the U.S Navy force from 2013-2021, having also ascended to the rank of the Petty Officer Second Class.
Despite his ongoing work as part of the Navy force, Bryan showed his desire to venture into the musical line from a young age and started uploading his music on YouTube from 2017, with his songs being recorded on an iPhone.
After beginning to see his music gain some popularity, he ventured into the musical industry totally in 2021 after leaving the U.S Navy Forces. Bryan finally found a musical label who was ready to release his third album, American Heartbreak, last year and the album hit no.1 in the US Country Music charts.
What happened to Zach Bryan?
His recent-most album, which is self-titled, reached no. 1 the US top hits charts as well as the country and rock charts as well. Bryan has definitely been able to gain a lot of fans with his beautiful songs, with is official YouTube channel having over 800,000 subscribers.
He’s now a Grammy-nominated country artist on the rise, but was entangled into some controversy by being arrested by the Oklahoma police on Thursday, days after his album hit the no.1 rank in the charts. As per TMZ, Bryan was arrested and booked on an obstruction of investigation charge, with broader details yet to be discovered.
Soon after his arrest, the Oklahoma police also publicly released his mugshot – which is taken for the arrested individuals as a means of keeping their identity in their record books. In the mugshot, Bryan has quite an expression-free, poker-face look and doesn’t seem to be that bothered about being arrested at all.
Fans react to Zach Bryan’s mugshot
Despite not even trying to look good for the mugshot photo, Bryan appears to have pulled off something that has already sent his fans into a gaga. He is receiving a lot of love for having the perfect possible mugshot because of how weirdly satisfied he seems in the picture despite being arrested.
Considering his history as a U.S Navy veteran, Zach has probably faced graver situations in his life than getting arrested on a weird charge that has little clarification so far. Fans appear to love just how photogenic he seems in this mugshout and has urged shirt manufacturers to put this mugshot picture in a t-shirt for them to buy.
It appears that many actually want a new t-shirt released with just Bryan’s face in the middle of it because of how symbolic this mugshot seems to them. The 27-year-old has also been praised for managing to get the no.1 album, no.1 song in the US charts as well as the best possible mugshot all in the space of a week.
Some of his fans are even urging the country music star to put this mugshot picture as the cover of his next album, whenever he opts to release that as a follow-up to his hit self-titled one. An album cover is a key part of any album, as the appearance or design of the cover is often key to piquing the interest of music lovers and help the artist get more recognition on a broader scale.
Bryan seems to be weirdly at peace in this mugshot and fans seem to love that about him and his personality. The singer later tweeted about his arrest, writing: “Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said. I support law enforcement as much as anyone can,
“I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize. They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around. Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”
He is unlikely to be in trouble for this, and this arrest might’ve actually created something that can help the musician further ascend his legacy as a US Country Music sensation going forward.
