Liverpool have found new energy in the form of a revitalized midfield line that has been powering their 2023/24 Premier League title race heading into the second half of the campaign.
Jurgen Klopp opted to sign four new midfielders in the summer transfer window last year, with the most prominent one being that of Argentine World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister.
Mac Allister’s impressive performances for his national team and Brighton & Hove Albion forced Liverpool to fast-track his signing last summer.
They ended up signing him for quite a reasonable price, and found their ideal replacement to the departed Jordan Henderson.
With that being said, Mac Allister hasn’t really had the most emphatic start to his career at Anfield.
For one, he’s been forced to play in a deeper no.6 role when he’s more used to playing as a box-to-box midfielder.
To make things worse, Mac Allister also picked up a bad injury last month that has forced him to miss a number of matches in the winter period.
The 25-year-old midfielder is working hard to regain his fitness ahead of the pivotal final few months of the season.
Mac Allister recently posted a gym selfie to show how well he’s been maintaining his physique all this while showing off his abs and ideal body shape as well.
However, something else immediately stole the attention of the Liverpool supporters in the picture and it wasn’t Mac Allister’s brilliant body but the presence of his dog in the picture.
The Argentine midfielder loves his bulldog and decided to drape him onto Liverpool colours for this sweet little picture.
Mac Allister’s dog can be seen wearing the current Liverpool away kit of white and green design.
The midfielder obviously tailor-made this kit for his dog and the kit seems to have fit the pet perfectly as well.
A lot of supporters have been won over by this super cute image and how adorable the midfielder’s dog looks while posing for this picture.
Some have even noted how attached Mac Allister has already become to Liverpool to showcase his love for the club by also draping his beloved pet in his beloved club’s kit.
In reality, this is just a sweet little gym selfie where Mac Allister is able to show off both his ripped physique and his cute little dog too.
The Argentine midfielder seems to be in great shape right now, but needs to be cautious with his recovery from his knee injury and only get back on the pitch after being reassured that he can trigger the same problem again anytime soon.
