Arsenal, looking for their record 15th FA Cup title, will be taking on Liverpool in a 4.30 pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, January 7, 2024. The 3rd round match will take place at Emirates Stadium in north London, giving Arsenal the home advantage.
Important team news:
Biggest news for this match is: Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah and midfield linchpin Endo Wataru not being available on account of international duties at AFCON and Asia Cup, respectively.
For Arsenal, Mohamed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu are off to do the same.
In the latest press conference, Jürgen Klopp confirmed Dominik Szoboszlai’s hamstring injury and with that another midfield piece seems to be off the board.
Liverpool have another game in EFL Cup vs Fulham 3 days after this tie but Klopp mentioned that he is going to field a good team without much scope of rotations.
Left back Oleksandr Zinchenko is a major injury doubt for Arsenal whereas Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira are not yet fit to play.
Betting Odds: (at the time of writing)

Best odds for Liverpool to win : SkyBet, Matchbook and Betfair – 13/5
Best odds for draw : Bet365 – 3/1
What to bet on and why:
Darwin Nunez to score – Darwin Nunez will be looking to fill the goal scoring shoes of Salah as he will have more of a conventional winger in Harvey Elliot, putting in the crosses.
He has scored recently in the game vs Burnley on Dec 26th. At Newcastle, he provided an assist for the first goal with eight shots (five on goal) and two chances created. Also, with Salah not in picture, Nunez seems to be next in line for spot kicks too. Nunez is yet to miss from a penalty spot in his career.
With the odd for Darwin Nunez to score anytime being at a generous 11/4, it seems a good bet to place.
Total goals under 2.75 – Arsenal have scored just twice in their last 3 games. With Salah missing, Liverpool’s scoring prowess takes a hit too. Last meeting between the two teams was a 1-1 draw with Salah in it, so the chances of a high scoring game are low.
Still to keep it on the safer side we suggest a 2.75 goal bet, so that even if there is a 3 goal game with a winner, you don’t lose all of it. 10/11 odds aren’t bad to consider.
