Pep Guardiola has asserted himself as one of the best football managers in the history of the game with his success over the last decade and a half. The Spaniard has now won the European Treble as the manager of two clubs (Barcelona and Manchester City) and shows no signs of wearing thin.
Guardiola is a tactical mastermind and transformed the Cityzens to completely dominate the Premier League, winning the title five times in the last six seasons.
Even though he is mocked at times, mostly because of his bald head and occasionally over-the-top mannerisms, the Spaniard remains the benchmark to match for any aspiring manager.
It also appears that Pep might have a bizarre Doppelganger situated in India.
For those unknowing, a Doppelganger is a person who is almost identical to someone else. While a rare phenomenon, there are quite a few Doppelganger of famous celebrities around the world of sport or even pop culture.
With that being said, some fans on Footballl Twitter have seemingly discovered Pep’s own Doppleganger to be showcased in the Ram Mandir Temple inauguration at Ayodhya, India on January 22.
The historic event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a number of major celebrities – including Cricket Icon Sachin Tendulkar – were present at the event.
As part of the inauguration process, a number of personalities from around India and of different religions were also invited to showcase the unity and diversity in the country of India.
At one part of the event, an Indian monk was allowed to come up and speak on the occasion the podium set up for media interviews.
To the surprise of many football fanatics watching the event, the monk looks like an almost near-identical twin of Pep Guardiola. The monk has almost identical facial features, all through having similar eyes, a near-copy nose shape and obviously – a clean-shaven bald head like Guardiola himself.
The resemblance between the two is almost uncanny and is further proof of how almost anyone around the world can have their own doppelgangers situated all over.
Now, there is little to no chance that this monk is related to Guardiola – who is not known to have any relatives situated in and around India.
Some supporters joked around that the Manchester City manager decided to travel to Ayodhya for the occasion and dress himself like a monk to ask Shri Ram to help the Cityzens’ escape from any possible punishment for their 115 financial breach charges.
With that being said, there is no real definite proof that Guardiola has any interest in potentially ever becoming a Buddhist Monk. He was born a Catholic Christian in Barcelona, Spain but is allegedly regarded to be non-religious these days and thought to be an atheist.
Knowing the kind of football-crazy gaffer he is, Pep’s religion is probably the beautiful game itself. The Spaniard is obsessed with winning more and more trophies before he moves away from football once and for all.
