Vinicius Jr. at the age of just 24 is one of the most experienced members of the Real Madrid squad with 276 appearances under his belt.
Whether that’s wing play on the left or on the right, Vini Jr. is a menace for defenders on either flank and he has become one of the core members of the Madrid attacking unit.
In the international break just gone by, Vinicius Jr. didn’t travel to Brazil to play with the national side in their World Cup qualifiers due to an injury he suffered against Villarreal in their last game.
But that didn’t stop him from staying involved in football in, albeit in a different way. This time around the winger was spotted at a youth football game lending his support to Celio Camavinga- who is the brother of teammate Eduardo Camavinga.
Frenchman Eduardo Camavinga hails from a large family, he is one of 6 kids. He’s the third eldest of the sixth and has an older brother, sister and 1 younger brother, 2 younger sisters.
It was Celio Camavinga, the younger brother who showed his talent on this occasion. Young Celio, who’s reported to be around the age of 9, is already making strides in his own footballing journey and is reported to be part of a professional club’s academy.
It wasn’t just Vini Jr. who was at this game but also other stars from the Real Madrid squad in the form of Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois, who was there to watch his son play according to social media.
Madrid stars picked the right game to attend as Celio’s skills were on full display. A clip of him from this game is on social media, where Celio scores a long-range free kick, a skill that seems to run in the family.
A post on Instagram which has this clip also states that the youngster bagged a hattrick in the game. Vini Jr. and Co. might have just witnessed Real Madrid’s newest and youngest signing.
In what fans described as a heartwarming gesture, Vinícius didn’t just make a quiet appearance, after the game, Vinícius was seen dapping up Célio, likely congratulating him on what appeared to be a solid performance for his side.
This shows a sense of camaraderie amongst Real Madrid teammates, as Vini Jr. was out cheering for his teammates brother, showing us that there’s more to football than what happens under the floodlights.
The age gap between Celio, Vini and Eduardo got us speculating if we could see the three take to the pitch in Madrid’s iconic white in the future.
And the answer is a hypothetical yes, if Célio continues his development and reaches the spotlight around the age of 18, there’s every chance that he could end up playing alongside Eduardo and Vinícius, assuming both stars enjoy long-term careers at the Bernabéu.
Vini would be 33 by then and Camavinga- 30, both at ages where it these predictions could come good. It would be a fairy-tale story of friendship and brotherhood of sorts.
Celio has a long way to go, and what will definitely help him is having a brother like Eduardo Camavinga and supportive friends in the form of Eduardo’s teammates who can guide him every step of the way.
The football world loves a good narrative, and this one has all the makings of a future Real Madrid story in the making. After all, every football legend starts somewhere — and for Célio, that beginning is already being cheered on by some of the best in the world.
