Ishowspeed made his way to the Ballon d’Or ceremony for second time in a row, with his IRL livestream reaching 600k viewers.
Naturally the Ballon ‘d’Or event was stacked with stars, including 17 year old Lamine Yamal who has 6 goals, 7 assists already this season and walked away as the youngest ever winner of the Kopa Trophy.
During the event Speed linked up with Lamine Yamal, who supposedly is an old acquaintance of Speed’s.
Speed kicks of the conversation with Yamal by bringing up the fact that he’d messaged the winger on Instagram three years ago, when Yamal would have been 14 or 15. Much to our surprise Lamine remembers this conversation with Speed.
Speed even claims that he scouted the youngster way back when much before anyone knew about him, calling Yamal his GOAT.
“I just want to say what’s up to Lamine! Me and him go way back, I scouted him (in Fifa) two years ago. Brother! They don’t believe me, remember we texted three years ago?”

The two then grab a quick picture and Speed wishes Yamal luck, also asking him not to forget about him.
“Me and you go way back, bro! Hold on let’s take a picture. You are my GOAT, you are my brother!”
In another video online Speed talks about the same message he sent on Instagram to Yamal and even shows it to the public as proof, dated October 26th 2022, almost a year before his senior debut, with the message reading “yo bro.”
While the other messages or full conversations aren’t known, we’ll take Speed’s word that the two knew each other especially after Lamine confirmed it himself.
