Leandro Trossard got the best birthday present on 4 December as his Arsenal side picked up a compelling 2-0 win over Manchester United.
Even though he didn’t start the match, the Belgian winger came on for the last 20 minutes to help them seal the three points at the Emirates Stadium.
Trossard turned 30 on Wednesday (born on 4 Dec 1994), reaching a notable milestone in his life and decided to celebrate it with a big birthday bash.
Soon after the end of the match against the Red Devils, the winger decided to turn on party-mode rather than just going home and relaxing.
The 30-year-old winger’s wife Laura Hilven decided to show off the extravagant party that he and his loved ones had to celebrate Trossard’s big day.
The occasion was probably organized by Laura herself and she decided to show off their celebrations to the world by posting a short clip on her Instagram account – where she has over 29,000 followers.
The private party did not feature a huge gathering and it doesn’t look like any Arsenal player was invited to it, probably because they were really tired after a tenacious game.
Trossard invited his family and close friends only for the occasion, and it looks like his loved ones decided to celebrate it in a unique manner.
Trossard’s birthday party not only included champagne and expensive alcohol/food, but cut-outs of his face brought to it by his friends.
In the clip, multiple such cutout images of Trossard doing his ‘glasses celebration’ or just one of his smirking faces can be seen being held up by his buddies in the background.
There are also illuminated fireworks being held up by his friends as they can be heard loudly chanting ‘Leo, Leo’ to showcase their appreciation for him.
Not just that, but a huge multi-layered cake is also brought to the table where two miniature blonde dolls are placed atop of – possibly variations of Trossard and his wife.
The Arsenal winger looks absolutely chuffed by all the attention he’s receiving, as he raises his arms in the air and seems much more joyful than the winger normally is during the Gunners’ matches.
It’s clear that Trossard still had a lot of energy in him to have a small party after playing against United, and must’ve had Mikel Arteta’s permission for this too.
There is a feeling that the dark spots beneath Trossard’s eyes is because he doesn’t get enough sleep.
This clip of a late night party has fed to those theories as it’s clear that the winger doesn’t mind staying up for late to enjoy his personal time with friends.
The Belgian winger has also attracted a little bit of criticism for partying right after a grueling game, with some even claiming that the cutouts of his face and the extravagant celebration show that he’s got a big ego.
In reality, it’s just a case of Trossard’s loved ones ensuring that his 30th birthday was a memorable and eventful one. They guaranteed that the winger’s memories of the specific day isn’t just of his success at the Emirates Stadium but the fun he had in the wild party afterwards as well.
